What Is The Purpose Of Life?

Most people wonder at one time or another, ‘What is the purpose of life.’

But how do you find the purpose of your life? I will show you how to find out your purpose in life in this article.

Each of us is endowed with capabilities beyond what we know. Those capabilities and talents were placed within us by our Creator to help us accomplish and fulfill our destinies.

Each destiny, each life’s purpose is important and necessary. If your American dream is to build bicycles, then build the best bicycles you can. That is YOUR destiny and purpose.

I was listening to the radio one day and a guy called into the show and commented that he felt it was his calling, his mission in life to fit pipes. (true story!) He said he felt that he had been created for this. And he just loved it. It was his passion.

Fitting pipes may or may not be your passion, but is was his passion and I am grateful for people who have passions that are distinct from mine. They provide variety and richness to the world around us.

My Suggestion How To Find The Purpose of Life

My suggestion how to find the purpose of life is to ask probing questions like these;

What is your passion?
What do you feel strongly about?
What do you feel you are drawn to?
What do you think about all the time?
What talents, gifts or expertise do you have?
What is it that you do better than anyone else?
Where do you see yourself making a difference?
What is the topic or subject matter that people constantly ask you about or seek your advice?

I hope I haven’t over emphasized the point. But I want you to recognize the true and deepest desire of your heart. I want you to achieve your American dream.

As you fulfill your true purpose in life, you and your family will be happier and America will be an even better place as more of us are living and fulfilling our American dreams. You can be anything you want. You just have to know what you want. But how do your know what you want? How do you know what your American dream really is?

If you really want to know YOUR true purpose in life, here are some additional questions to ponder. Write down your answers for better clarity.

• As a young child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
• What are the goals and desires of your heart currently?
• Who do you really want to be?
• What unfulfilled dreams or goals keeps you awake at night?
• Deep down in your heart, what do you really want to do in life?
• Did you do some soul-searching to discover who you really are? 
• Have you asked God what he thinks you should do or be?
• What did he say?
• Did you listen for an answer?
• What does your gut tell you?
• Are you willing to do what you know you should do?
• Does an idea or thought keep coming to mind over and over again?
• Have you made the decision to actually obey divine direction?

Living the American dream is more an art than a science but there are eternal principles that can help you know who you really are deep inside and what mission it is that you have to accomplish.

All you have to do is fulfill your heart’s desire.
